What The Health Movie Screening @ MSU RCAH Theater in Snyder Hall

Join VegMichigan and the MSU VegClub for a free screening of What The Health on Tuesday, October 23rd at 6:30pm on the campus of Michigan State University. We’ll be in the RCAH Theater located in the basement of Snyder Hall at 362 Bogue St. in East Lansing. Free vegan pizza will be served following the film.
 
This is a free event , but please RSVP on VegClub’s Facebook page or email noelle@vegmichigan.org so we can order enough food. Please bring friends and help us spread veganism! We look forward to seeing you there!

Leafleting at Macomb Community College – Center Campus @ John R. Dimitry Student Community Center (P Building)

VegMichigan will be handing out literature promoting the benefits of a vegan lifestyle to college students outside the main entrance of the Student Center (P Building) at Macomb Community College – Center Campus in Clinton Township. 

Leafleting is one of the most effective ways to inform people about vegan eating. It’s not only easy, it also puts the information directly in the hands of people whose minds may be changed. Please come out, even if you can stay for a short time. We can use your help!

Vegan Potluck @ Caroline Kennedy Library

We are excited to bring back our monthly potlucks and come together for a time of friends, conversation, and of course, food! Anyone is welcome, we just ask that all dishes are vegan, even if the chef is not.
 
What to bring:
  1.  Any vegan dish (no animal products: meat, eggs, honey, whey or gelatin) to share with approximately 20 people and a recipe sheet.
  2. Your own plate service and beverages. Water will be provided.

Leafleting at University of Michigan @ The Diag

VegMichigan will be joining with the University of Michigan Animal Respect Society (MARS) to hand out literature promoting the benefits of a vegan lifestyle to students in The Diag at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. 

Leafleting is one of the most effective ways to inform people about vegan eating. It’s not only easy, it also puts the information directly in the hands of people whose minds may be changed. Please come out, even if you can stay for a short time. We can use your help!

Vegan Chili Cook-Off @ Caroline Kennedy Library

Join VegMichigan for our 1st Vegan Chili Cook-Off at the Caroline Kennedy Library in Dearborn Heights. We will be awarding 1st, 2nd and 3rd place cash prizes according to the peoples’ choice!
 
Suggested entry fee: $10 per pot of chili for participants and $5 donation for attendees. If you are interested in entering your chili in the cook-off, please email tammy@vegmichigan.org for entry and rules.

VegMichigan Fall Fundraiser @ Zingerman's Greyline

Join us for a night out to mingle with like-minded people who support spreading the vegan message throughout Michigan and introducing more people to the many benefits of eating vegan.

The evening will feature:

  • Complimentary beer and wine bar

  • Vegan appetizers and hors d’oeuvres

  • VegMichigan merchandise for sale

  • The opportunity to support VegMichigan’s work

Your attendance helps VegMichigan educate the public about the health, environmental, and ethical benefits of a plant-based diet through events like VegFest, cooking classes, vegan food samplings and presentations at colleges and universities, lectures and presentations, monthly dinner clubs, the free vegan SummerFest and more. 100% of the funds raised will be used to host more free events to educate the public about eating vegan.

Monthly Vegan Pizza Buffet @ Original Cottage Inn

The Original Cottage Inn recently rolled out an entirely vegan menu thanks to the hard work of Tammy Warren, Community Outreach Director, and we’re so excited to announce a set monthly dinner outing at Cottage Inn! VegMichigan will be dining at the Original Cottage Inn on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 6:30 – 8:30pm. The cost is $20 per person and includes salad, pizza, pop/tea, breadsticks, tax and gratuity! The restaurant is located at 512 East William St. in Ann Arbor. Please RSVP to tammy@vegmichigan.org with how many will be in your party.

Flint Dinner Club @ Flint Crepe Co.

Join us for our monthly dinner club in the Flint area at Flint Crepe Company, located at 555 Saginaw St. in Flint. This restaurant has a nice mix of sweet and savory crepes and they can make most of their crepes vegan  (you have the option to customize them as well). Annual “Thanks-living” Potluck Dinner @ Canteen at Kyocera Unimerco

VegMichigan’s Annual Vegan Thanks-Living Potluck Dinner is moving to a new location! Many thanks to Paul Krause for many years of hosting at his lovely home. We are holding this year’s event at Chef Sheila’s newly remolded canteen located inside of Kyocera Unimerco, at 6620 S. State Road in Saline, just 20 minutes from Zingerman’s Greyline, where we are holding our Fall Fundraiser.

The festivities will begin at 6pm with a buffet of delicious vegan food. Spread the word to others who might be interested in celebrating this Thanks-living feast, where all can be thankful, including the animals who will not be on our tables. Please bring your best vegan dish to share. 

You must RSVP prior to attending by emailing tammy@vegmichigan.org as we are limited to just 65 attendees. Don’t miss out on this delicious meal!
