Veg Michigan and the Humane Society of the United States would like to invite you to an afternoon of food, friends, and community. One of the most powerful ways to make change for animals is to become involved in local and state politics. Sometimes involvement is as simple as writing to your elected officials and letting them know that animal welfare is one of your top priorities.
You bring the food, we’ll provide you with postcards and stamps and let’s talk about how we’d like to make our state a better place for farm animals. Molly Tamulevich, Michigan State Director of HSUS will give a brief talk on how you can lobby your legislators to improve the lives of animals in Michigan.
For each adult attending, please bring a vegan dish (without meat, fish, eggs, dairy, honey or other animal products) to share that serves at least 8 people OR a $10 donation. (Children do not need to bring a dish or donation.) Any proceeds from donations will benefit VegMichigan. To register, please visit our Eventbrite page: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/vegan-potluck-and-postcard-writing-tickets-55844942727.
- Please bring your own table service and serving tools
- Please bring a list of ingredients or recipe for your dish
