SUMMARY:SEEDS\, SUN\, AND SOIL. HOW STARTING A VEGETABLE GARDEN CAN PROVIDE MORE THAN DINNER.
DESCRIPTION:SEEDS\, SUN\, AND SOIL. HOW STARTING A VEGETABLE GARDEN CAN PROVIDE MORE THAN DINNER. \nThis presentation is for anyone thinking about starting a home garden\, but isn’t sure where to begin. We will cover the basic steps needed to successfully grow food in your own backyard as well as discuss the many benefits of having a home garden. Presented by Matt and Deanna Tregoning. Hosted in partnership with the Northville Public Library. \nMatt and Deanna Tregoning are the former owners of Sol to Seed Farm in WA state. They both grew up in Michigan and have recently relocated back to the Chelsea area after living in WA for the past 24 years. They farmed on 5 acres of land and sold their produce at farmer’s markets and through a community-supported agriculture program (CSA). Since they have retired from farming\, they continue to grow food in a small garden in their backyard. They have a wealth of knowledge on how to start a small garden for personal use as well as how to grow food on a larger scale. Although they have retired from farming\, Matt continues to work part-time at a title and escrow company and Deanna is a nurse practitioner at Henry Ford Allegiance in Jackson. They are both passionate about growing their own food and enjoy the multiple benefits having a garden provides. \n  \nJoin Zoom Meeting – https://us02web.zoom.us/j/87000612783?pwd=Nks0Qm1PSlFWNDBaaTc4ZGExNEFNUT09 \nMeeting ID: 870 0061 2783 \nPasscode: 106793
