FOOD EMPOWERMENT PROJECT: A PATH TOWARDS FOOD JUSTICE

Food Empowerment Project’s (F.E.P.) founder and Senior Programs Director, lauren Ornelas, will speak on the power of our food choices.

F.E.P. is a vegan food justice organization, and she will discuss its core work, including promoting ethical veganism, championing the rights of farm workers, highlighting the lack of access to healthy foods in Black and Brown communities, and raising awareness about the worst forms of slavery, including child labor, in the chocolate industry.
