EATING TO IMPROVE YOUR HEALTH AND PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT

Industrial agriculture is a growing concern in Michigan causing problems to our health and the environment. We will explore actions we can take to reverse this trend, including small changes to our diet that will benefit our health, protect the planet, and improve animal welfare while still enjoying the foods we love.

In addition, we will share practical tips on how to incorporate more sustainable meals into our diet and you will also have the opportunity to sample a variety of delicious plant-based foods after the presentation.

Presented by Katie Johnson and Kim Korona. Katie Johnson holds a M.S. in Humane Leadership from Humane Society University and Kim Korona has a M.Ed. from Cambridge College in affiliation with the Institute for Humane Education.
