Restaurants
Stone Hound Brewing Company – 3593 Bunker Hill Rd., TC 49690
(Nice little brew pub, no longer all vegan but they have a separate vegan menu and can alter some items on the regular menu to make them vegan)
The Little Fleet – 448 E. Front St., TC 49686

The Filling Station Microbrewery – 642 Railroad Place, TC 49686
(Great variety of flatbread pizzas and really good salads. Vegan options include hummus and vegan cheese on any pizza. Outside spot with heaters. Reasonably fast servicer even when they are really busy.)
Rare Bird Brewpub – 229 Lake Ave., TC 49684

(Mex restaurant in downtown location with vegan options like tofu or portobello tacos)
Thai A Gogo – 1535 S, Division St., TC 49684

The Good Bowl – 328 E. Front St., TC 49684

Spanglish – 1333 Yellow Dr., TC 49684
(Cute little Mex spot on the grounds of The Village at Grand Traverse Commons. Vegan options include old world tamales, vegan chai and other Mex vegan items. Tables inside or you can take out and eat at any of the picnic tables on the grounds or at the pavilion….good spot in the summer to avoid the crowds once you get your order.)
Archie’s Social House – 237 Lake Ave., TC 49684
(Nice little breakfast spot with inside and outside seating. Vegan options include vegan lattes, a tofu scramble, plant based sausage.)
Hop Lot Brewing Co. – 658 S W Bay Shore Dr., Suttons Bay 49682
(Great spot but only vegan option is a veggie burrito bowl. Worth a visit for the outside fire pit, the bandstand in the summer and the heated yurts in the winter. Yurts need to be reserved in advance. They sell marshmallow kits for roasting…wondering if we can bring our own marshmallows?)
Bubbie’s Bagels – 1215 E. Front St., TC 49686
(Located in Campus Plaza. Obviously bagels but they have 2 kinds of vegan shmear and a nice Bubbie’s Garden bagel sandwich with capers and pea shoots. No inside or outside seating but Bryant Park at the Bay is just around the corner with picnic tables in the summer.)
Edson Farms Natural Foods – 835 S. Garfield Ave., TC 49686
(Great local foods with a lot of vegan options, including from the deli section; falafel, quinoa salad, vegan samosas, vegan chili and coleslaw. They also make good vegan lattes and have a good vegan breakfast burrito big enough to share.)
Oryana – 2 locations
(Good food co-op with plenty of vegan options. Good salad and soup bar that typically has at least one vegan soup. Has inside and outside tables.)
Desserts
Third Coast Bakery – 523 Munson Ave., TC 49686
(Everything is gluten free and vegan. Donuts and pastries are pricey but they are the only game in town for those items. Everything is really good, including vegan lattes and breakfast sandwiches. Great place to pick up holiday cakes.)
