Back by popular demand, VegMichigan is once again partnering with The Old Shillelagh to host a plant-based Thanksgiving buffet fundraiser to benefit VegMichigan's outreach programs!

VEGAN HOLIDAY DESSERTS (TRAVERSE CITY COOKING CLASS)

VegMichigan and Oryana invite you to join us as we celebrate the season with easy, delicious desserts perfect for the holidays. Top off your vegan holiday feast with a plant-based sweet treat everyone will love.

30-DAY PLANT-BASED PLEDGE FOR U-M ENGINEERING CLASS

We will give a brief talk about the connection between plant-based eating and climate change, our collaboration with the City of Ann Arbor and their efforts to be carbon neutral by 2030, and the benefits of plant-based eating. Then, students who signed up to participate in the 30-day plant-based pledge will receive their FREE bag of plant-based items. 

PLANT-FUTURES PANEL

We have been invited by Plant Futures Initiative (PFI) at the University of Michigan to speak on a panel focused on food sustainability to share our experiences with undergraduate students who are interested in being involved in the field of food sustainability themselves. 

SUSTAINABLE FOOD COALITION

VegMichigan will provide a short presentation for Ann Arbor's Sustainable Food Coalition's meeting, discussing the impact that food has on the climate.

U OF M PLANT-BASED TAILGATE

VegMichigan will be serving free plant-based food samples to UM football fans from local restaurants so that people can see how delicious plant-based food is and become more aware of the plant-based options in the area.

PLANT-BASED PLEDGE & PRESENTATION FOR HSHV

VegMichigan is providing a short presentation about our free 30-day plant-based pledge program, discussing all the benefits of plant-based eating, the connection to our partnership with the city of Ann Arbor and its A2Zero initiative.

BOOK CLUB DISCUSSION: A PATH TOWARDS JUSTICE (VIDEO)

We are changing things up a bit this time--rather than discussing a book, we will talk about a video: "A Path Towards Food Justice (with lauren Ornelas from Food Empowerment Project)." lauren is the founding director of Food Empowerment Project, a vegan food justice organization.

KINDLEFEST

VegMichigan will be handing out samples of local plant-based foods to attendees, and sharing information on the connection between diet and carbon emissions.
