PLANET PARTY AT U-M DIAG

The Sierra Club Chapter at U-M is hosting a climate and sustainability educational event with informational tables, games, and giveaways. They will inform attendees about current events related to climate change and sustainable innovations and actions people can take to support a healthy environment. We will have a table at the event to promote the benefits of plant-based living, sign people up to our 30 day plant-based pledge, and provide plant-based recipes.

THE BENEFITS OF PLANT-BASED EATING

VegMichigan is offering a presentation on the benefits of plant-based eating as part of the Volunteer Coordinators Network of Southeast Michigan Reciprocal Program. Attendees will have an opportunity to sign up for the 30-Day Plant-Based Pledge and receive a free bag of plant-based food.

GRANDPARENTS ON THE MOVE COOKING DEMONSTRATION

We are partnering with home cook and educator Kisa McKinney to offer the non-profit organization, Grandparents on the Move, a plant-based cooking demonstration and to provide tips to grandparents and other guardians about the nutritional benefits of eating plant-based for the children in their care.

Join us for a second screening of this powerful environmental justice film featuring rural residents who take on large-scale animal agriculture to preserve the health and wellbeing of themselves, their community, and the environment. Carrie La Seur, from For Love of Water (FLOW), will present following the film.
