VegMichigan will be sharing information about the benefits of plant-based eating, and offering free plant-based food samples to attendees.

Enjoy delicious plant-based foods from local foods trucks, yummy donuts, and delicious cider. Kids can trick-or-treat at various stations, take part in arts and crafts, get their faces painted, and win prizes while learning all about the residents here at Barn! Plus, get a prize just by coming in costume!

We will discuss the connection between inner peace and our food choices. Additionally, we will discuss how our industrial animal agriculture system is causing harm to workers, animals, communities, and the environment on a global scale, as well as the devastation that factory farms are having on local Michigan communities.

We are teaching an educational program to an animal ethics class at Madonna University. We will foster empathy and compassion for animals and invite students to think critically about the human-animal relationship, and to specifically question the use of animals as food. Students in the class will be given the opportunity to participate in our 30-day plant-based pledge program.

VegMichigan will provide a Plant-Based 101 presentation and provide a plant-based tasting. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to take action on MI S.B. 275, to prevent the incentivizing of factory farming expansion in Michigan. 

We will serve plant-based samples and give out information about the environmental benefits of plant-based eating near the stadium to the large crowds of people who will be out for the U-M football game.
